Branch Map
The original borders of the branch, based on physical geography (pubs,
roads etc), were agreed with our neighbouring branches when the branches
were first formed in the early days of CAMRA.
Years later, CAMRA upgraded its membership database to a new database that
uses the Post Office's postcode structure. Unfortunately the postcode sectors
often cross county borders and the physical borders that were agreed, therefore
new CAMRA members occasionally are listed as North Hampshire even though
they live across one of these borders. To resolve this, we must inform
the membership secretary at CAMRA HQ so that the member can be manually
changed to the correct branch regardless of their postcode. In certain
cases the CAMRA member has nominated the branch that they wish to be associated
with, which should not be changed.
The branch borders are also used for pub records and the surveying for
CAMRA's annual publication, the Good Beer Guide, so it is important that
branches know exactly where their borders are so that potential Good Beer
Guide entries are not missed.
