Are you being Ripped-Off?
Most pubs are run by hard-working devoted publicans whose aim is always
to please the customer and to provide good service. However, from time
to time you may come across some who are less than scrupulous and who bend
the law to to the benefit of their pockets and the detriment of yours.
For example, what do you do if you receive a short pint? The first rule is to remain polite and ask for a top-up. The honest publican will not refuse, but what if they do?
And what do you do if you are overcharged, or you suspect something wrong with the beer - on a rare occurrence beer may have been returned to the cask, or perhaps has otherwise been tampered with.
Or what if the pub advertises cask ales, but only serves keg beers?
If you receive no satisfaction from the publican then you may wish to report the matter to the Trading Standards Office.
